Pumps

Scope of supply and activities

Litostroj Power provides development, design, manufacture, supply and commissioning of the radial, mixed and axial flow centrifugal pumps. Projects on turn-key basis are possible as well.

Radial-flow pumps

Design principle and range of use

Radial-flow pump is used for pumping a low or medium flow rate at a higher delivery head. They are typically used for lift irrigation and drainage of agricultural lands, sewage applications, cooling water for thermal and nuclear power plants, handling sea water, fresh water supply, boiler feed, mine dewatering or other applications.

General description & our setup

Radial-flow pumps are usually supplied in horizontal configuration, vertical design is available as an option. The pump rotor is a single or double-suction radial-flow impeller with fixed blades.

Types

  • Vertical or horizontal configuration
  • Single or double-suction impeller

Main features

  • Discharge capacity up to 3 m3/s and delivery head up to 480 m

Mixed-flow pumps

Design principle and range of use

Mixed-flow pump is used for pumping a medium or high flow rate at a medium delivery head. It is typically used for lift irrigation and drainage of agricultural lands, sewage applications, cooling water for thermal and nuclear power plants, handling sea water, industrial applications and water supply.

General description & our setup

Mixed-flow pumps are predominantly supplied in the single-stage vertical configuration with diffuser. However, horizontal and vertical designs with volute casing are optional as well as two-stage design. Both the wet-pit design with suction bell and the dry-pit design with suction elbow are possible. The pump rotor is a mixed-flow impeller with fixed blades.

Types

  • Vertical or horizontal configuration
  • Wet-pit or dry-pit design
  • Single-stage or two-stage

Main features

  • Discharge capacity up to 20 m3/s and delivery head up to 200 m

Axial-flow pumps

Design principle and range of use

Axial-flow pump is a propeller pump used for pumping a high flow rate at a smaller delivery head. It is typically used for lift irrigation and drainage of agricultural lands, sewage applications, cooling water for thermal or nuclear power plants, handling sea water, flood control, filling or emptying of dry docks.

General description & our setup

Axial-flow pumps are predominantly supplied in either vertical or inclined configuration with diffuser; however horizontal design with volute casing is available as an option. Both the wet-pit design with suction bell and the dry-pit design with suction elbow are possible. The pump rotor can be either impeller or propeller-type with fixed or adjustable blades.

Types

  • Vertical, inclined or horizontal configuration
  • Wet-pit or dry-pit design
  • Propeller or impeller-type rotor
  • Fixed or adjustable rotor blades

Main features

  • Discharge capacity up to 20 m3/s and delivery head up to 12 m
  • Single-stage
