Cranes

Litostroj Power focuses on supply of large capacity cranes and cranes operating in specific and extreme conditions which include high speeds, high acceleration / deceleration, extreme weather, radiation, high pressure, high temperature and abrasive atmosphere.

Bridge Cranes

Bridge cranes are used in all fields of industry and type of transport. Usually, the bridge crane has two longitudinal girders. However, solutions with only one, three or four longitudinal girders are also available. Bridge cranes consist of one or more hoisting devices mounted on trolleys moving on a bridge, which in turn travels on overhead rails.

Litostroj Power has references in supplying bridge cranes for hydropower plants, heavy-steel industry and nuclear power plants.

Main features

  • Lifting capacity: up to 2 x 500 T supplied (more available on request)
  • Lifting height: up to 120 m supplied (more available on request)
  • Span of bridge: up to 60 m supplied (more available on request)
  • Length of rail: practically unlimited
  • Cockpit or/and wireless radio control or/and wired command table
  • Speed regulation of electro motors for lifting and travelling
  • Hoisting devices are equipped with an overload protection system
  • The travelling mechanisms are equipped with anti-collision safety devices; in this case, cranes can work independently or in tandem

Gantry Cranes

Principle and range of use

Gantry crane consists of one or more hoisting devices mounted on trolleys on one or two overhang girders. They are raised on supporting legs to reach above the manipulating area. The legs run along rails allowing the gantry crane to move.

Main features

  • Lifting capacity: up to 500 T  supplied (more available on request)
  • Lifting height: up to 120 m supplied (more available on request)
  • Span of gantry crane rail: up to 60 m supplied (more available on request)
  • Overhang length: up to 40 m supplied (more available on request)
  • Length of rail: practically unlimited
  • Cockpit or/and wireless radio control or/and wired command table
  • Speed regulation of electro motors for lifting and travelling
  • Hoisting devices are equipped with overload protection system
  • The travelling mechanisms are equipped with anti-collision safety devices; in this case, cranes can work independently or in tandem

Polar Cranes

Principle and range of use

Polar cranes are typically used in nuclear power plants for reactor building and maintenance. Polar cranes consist of one or more hoisting devices mounted on trollies on a bridge, which rotates on a circular overhead rail.

Main features

  • Lifting capacity up to 400 T (or more upon request)
  • Lifting height up to 65 m (or more upon request)
  • Diameter of polar crane rail up to 45 m (or more upon request)
  • Angle of rotation unlimited
  • Wireless radio control and wired control panel
  • Speed regulation of electro motors for lifting and traveling
  • Hoisting devices equipped with overload protection system
  • Traveling mechanisms equipped with anti-collision safety devices; such cranes can work independently or in tandem
  • Operation in special atmosphere (if required)
  • Sustains temperatures up to 150°C (if required)

Other Cranes

Litostroj Power also designs and manufactures stacker-and jib-type cranes.

Stacker cranes, typically used in all types of shelf warehouse:

  • Upper-rail-system crane: bridge crane with rigid arm hangs from the top
  • Two-level rail system crane: crane with rigid arm is driving along the bottom rail usually located on the floor, the top rail is used for crane arm stability

Jib cranes, used in all types of industry and transport:

  • Fixed-tower crane with jib and trolley on jib
  • Rail-system gantry construction with rotation and/or moving jib on gantry

Main characteristics

  • Lifting capacity up to 40 T (or more, depending on requirements)
  • Lifting height up to 28 m (or more, depending on requirements)
  • Bridge span (for rail systems) normally up to 60 m
  • Length of rail practically unlimited
  • Cockpit and wireless radio control and wired control panel
  • Speed regulation of electro motors for lifting and traveling
  • Hoisting devices equipped with overload protection system
  • Traveling mechanisms equipped with anti-collision safety devices; such cranes can work independently or as a tandem
