Litostroj Power participated at 2nd international summit and exhibition “Hydropower Balkans 2018” in Budva, Montenegro, from 6th to 8th November and it was organised by Vostock Capital. This summit gathered engineers, scientists, bankers, lawyers and environmentalists, mostly from Balkan region.
We visited 2 hydropower plants of EPCG, HPP Piva and HPP Perućica, planned to be reconstructed over the next 5 years. The contract for reconstruction of HPP Piva was already signed with Joint Venture Litostroj Power - ABB. We also learned about the operator EPCG’s investment programme for HPPs reconstruction, as well as technologies, used equipment and expected performance indicators.
There was 8 sessions altogether with discussions about hydropower development in the Balkans, plans of policymakers, initiators and investors, projects for the constructions and renovations of hydropower facilities in the Balkan states, successful HPP engineering, construction and re-equipment, sustainable development and operational excellence, unlocking investment in the regional hydropower industry, project funding, construction and renovation projects of hydropower facilities in the Balkan, joint efforts of stakeholders to succeed and as well automation and digital technologies towards HPP efficiency and safety.
Litostroj Power had a presentation in Session 3 ‘’ SUCESSFUL HPP ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION AND REEQUIPMENT’’ with presentation topic Remarkable Refurbishments by Litostroj Power, where we presented recent successfully finished projects in Balkan region and showing similar projects from all over the Europe.
We had a numerous short meetings on our booth with potential investors, clients and employees of public utilities from all over the Balkan. Many participants already knew us, while we have well established name and position in Balkan region, and especially we are a company with long and remarkable tradition.
