This is Litostroj Power 11th Contract with Verbund

Engineers from Litostroj have created a unique solution for an underground power plant in Carinthia

Litostroj Group will take part in the modernization of the Jochenstein hydropower plant on the Danube River between Upper Austria and Bavaria

The Litostroj Group will reconstruct other turbines in Alabama Litostroj Group, the world's leading manufacturer of turbines and other hydropower equipment, has won a contract for the reconstruction of three turbines at the Lay hydropower plant in the U.S. state of Alabama.

Litostroj Power of the ENERGO-PRO Group will produce four impellers for the Austrian Rosshag pumped-storage hydropower plant. The contract also includes the development of the hydraulic design and model tests in the hydraulic laboratory. Thanks to the contract, Litostroj Power has won its eighth contract from the Austrian power company Verbund Hydro Power.

On December 6, 2018, LITOSTROJ POWER started the implementation of a Development Research Project entitled "Development of the Monocoque Carbon Cycle Frame (MCQ C-FRAME)", for which it received a decision from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to co-finance the project through a public tender "Incentives for research and development projects 2". The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.

The Slovenian manufacturer of water turbines Litostroj Power from the Energo-Pro Group signed a contract with its client HESS (Hydroelectric power stations on the lower Sava River) and will participate in the development of a new hydropower station Mokrice. The delivery includes three horizontal Bulb units with a runner of 4.8 m in diameter as well as all the auxiliary systems. The value of the contract is less than EUR 19 million.

Litostroj Group, the world-leading producer of water turbines and other hydraulic machines has produced a runner for the Lay Hydropower Plant in the US state of Alabama. This renowned power plant with more than a hundred-years-long history is currently undergoing reconstruction. Four of its six Kaplan turbines with an output of 30 MW will be upgraded in the near future. The new runner produced in the Slovenian capital city of Ljubljana is heading to one of the Lay Hydropower Plant’s units which will be the first to be upgraded.

At the end of June 2019 Litostroj Power signed a contract with Fortum AB for turbine refurbishment at HPP Spjutmo in Sweden. Contract consists of design, construction, production, refurbishment, supply of new and refurbished parts, site machining, disassembly, assembly, site supervision and putting vertical Kaplan unit into operation.

In relation with ongoing refurbishment project in Kenya (HPP Kamburu) which was signed between Kenyan electricity producer KenGen and Consortium of Litostroj Power and Končar KET from Croatia in 2015, 12 KenGen personnel attended 4-week training course in consortium headquarters in Ljubljana and Zagreb.
